I don't even know what has happened to this year.
It's almost December, and it seems the other months have blurred together. And it's not even that I haven't had good times or created great memories.
The beginning of the year started with Justin, Tara and the city of Pasadena. Those first few months consisted of both great and dark times. I was slowly slipping out of the relationship I was in and began drifting into another state of mind.
May, I broke up with him. Talking to him last week had actually made me feel like we've grown in our own ways, which was comforting. We didn't seem to be as naive as we were when we were together.
July, I moved out of Arie's house and back into my uncle's.
August brought old relationships together, and September created new ones.
getting passed old grudges and making a new friend was nice. And that was the reason I found the lovely man I am with today.
Since then, it's been..friends, love, pain, honesty and new beginnings. another chapter in my life.
Once again, it's nearing my birthday. And just like every year, I don't know where the time has gone. But I'm always grateful that the year ends with December. Just after Thanksgiving, when everyone is still in a family-get-together mood. The weather has taken a turn and the days seem to be shorter. It gets to be the perfect time for hot chocolate, a fireplace and close friends and family. Our adventurous hearts seem to be calming down with the chill of the wind and I'm finally starting to notice a change in people's priorities--the new-found seriousness about our lives.
